Hard Hat High Tea – Women in Construction FNQ

Christina and Emily attended the Women in Construction FNQ Hard Hat High Tea on 7 November 2025 at the Pullman Cairns International.

It was a wonderful end-of-year celebration that brought together so many inspiring local women. We caught up with old friends, made new connections, and enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of fun and laughter. Prizes were awarded for Best Dressed and Best Hat — and the CJK ladies were thrilled to take out Best Dressed in our matching elf outfits! 🎄

There were many generous prizes donated on the day. CJK contributed two $100 online course vouchers, and funds were raised through raffles and number boards. Together, we decided to donate the proceeds to the Cancer Council’s Marylyn Mayo Lodge, which supports people travelling to Cairns for cancer treatment, and to prostate cancer initiatives,  in support of the men in our industry. 💙

The Pullman’s high tea was absolutely delicious — every tiny, perfectly crafted morsel was a delight.

A big thank you to Women in Construction – FNQ for your ongoing hard work and dedication in keeping this organisation thriving year after year. For anyone in the FNQ region looking to connect with like-minded people and gain insights and education across all areas of the construction industry, we can’t recommend them highly enough.
