STEM Night for Girl Guides

CJK sponsored the Engineer the Future STEM Night for Girl Guides. The event was organised by Engineers Australia and held last month at James Cook University. The aim of the event was to encourage the next generation of girls to pursue engineering as a profession by completing fun and exciting engineering projects.

The Girl Guides and Rangers, aged 10-17, had the most fun with the Christmas Tree Structures though some also loved the Electronic Kits and are asking for them for Christmas.

The Brownies, aged 7-9, loved both their activities and had great success with Water Treatment Plant and the most fun with the Robot Mazes with all the mazes going home and a few robots attempted to be snuck in back pockets.

Christina also volunteered at the event and you can see a little of what happened in the photos!
