About the position

We are looking for an experienced Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join our friendly and professional team. You will be involved in a wide range of projects Australia-wide and internationally, where you will conduct site inspections, write reports and publications and be given an opportunity to expand your knowledge.

This is a permanent full-time position with flexible hours, an immediate start and career growth opportunities.

  • Commercial buildings
  • Island resorts
  • Pop up entertainment installations
  • Tesla grid-scale battery facility
  • Mining sites both in Australia and internationally

What you will be doing

  • Preparing Fire Engineering Briefs and Strategy Reports.
  • Preparing Performance Solution Assessments, Combustible Cladding Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Completing computer modelling. FDS experience.
  • Conducting site inspections and attend meeting (occasional interstate travel).
  • Quality assurance, peer reviews, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Leading projects and liaising with clients, stakeholders and other authorities.
  • Client retention and bringing in new clients.
  • Representing CJK Fire & Safety at seminars and conferences which will also contribute to your CPD points.

About you

You must have:

  • Australian tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Fire Safety Engineering.
  • Interest in fire safety and desire to pursue a career growth.
  • Good understanding of computation fluid dynamics principles.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant Australian standards, NCC and building regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing project deliverables on time.
  • Strong research and reporting skills.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physically able to complete full day site inspections including carrying and climbing a ladder.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong work ethic and high degree of professionalism.
  • Must be an Australian resident.
