Cairns Engineers Australia Gala Dinner 2024

Christina, Johann and Emily attended the annual Cairns Engineers Australia Gala Dinner last week. Held in the Pullman International Hotel Grand Ballroom, it was a glamorous affair with live music and a three-course meal. It was a great opportunity catching up with industry peers, friends and clients.

The keynote speaker was Dr Helen Cartledge who is Executive Director or Engineering and Logistics at Defence Australia. Her story was inspiring, entertaining and similar in some ways to our own Christina. Both were born in a remote area of Siberia and encouraged by their parent’s interest in science, rose above adversity and moved to Australia and studied engineering.

Among the engineering awards, Christina was formally presented with her fellowship membership certificate and acknowledged for being an Engineers Australia committee member.

Thank you to Nastassja Regan, Drew Jardine, Peter Webb, Nick Hubbard, Kianoush Emami and Riley D’Castro who organised the event.
